Tech Leaders Begin 2026 with a Strong Business and Economic Outlook
What a strong way to kick off 2026. The Tech Leaders community gathered on January 15 for its first breakfast meeting at Merchantville Country Club, setting the tone for the year ahead. The feedback from attendees couldn’t have been clearer — people want to keep meeting there, so we will.
The setting created the right environment for open dialogue and meaningful connection, reinforcing the value of consistent, trusted spaces for tech leadership conversations.
CEO Leadership Insights on the Forces Shaping 2026
The breakfast featured a wide-ranging, candid discussion focused on the forces most likely to shape business and the economy in 2026. Topics included tariffs, interest rates, crypto, AI, the Middle East, global trade, and what CEOs are seeing firsthand when it comes to labor, hiring, and retention.
These were not theoretical perspectives. The conversation was grounded in real operating experience, reflecting what leaders are navigating inside their organizations today — a hallmark of effective CEO leadership.
Economic Outlook and Tech Sector Confidence
One of the key takeaways from the discussion was that the economy and markets appear to be performing better than many expected. Despite ongoing uncertainty, sentiment around the economic outlook for 2026 was notably constructive.
The outlook for the tech sector, and tech valuations in particular, remains very strong. AI continues to dominate the conversation as a major driver of innovation, productivity, and long-term value. The group also explored how political perspectives influence market sentiment, leading to a thoughtful and lively exchange.
A Forum Built on Engagement and Experience
Huge thanks to Joe Chott and Matt Levering of Brown Brothers Harriman for guiding the discussion and helping frame complex topics in a way that encouraged participation. Just as important was everyone who showed up ready to contribute, share perspectives, and engage openly.
That level of participation continues to define the Tech Leaders breakfast as a valuable forum for insight-driven dialogue.
Looking Ahead
We’ll be back at Merchantville Country Club on February 19, with more details to follow.
If this was your first Tech Leaders breakfast, welcome — and stay tuned for more valuable insights as we move through 2026.
